My Friday and Lost a follower

Good morning friends in blogland!  I am happy to say it is my Friday.  I hope you are all doing something fun for your Memorial weekend.  We usually go camping and have been going to the same place with the same people for the most part, for the past oh I would say almost 23 years...  Course things have to change, boo, don't like change, hehe... and more and more people come that not everyone knows so it's not just a spot where all of us friends from far and wide can see each other and relax once a year!  It is usually so rainy and muddy now too... Used to be so nice when we went but not lately.. So...  we decided to just stay home this year.  I am actually excited... 4 days off... no plans in site....  we can do whatever we want....  Yahoo!!

Then on to a tiny sad thing for me.  I know it is silly but I signed in today and noticed that instead of my followers going up, they have gone down.  I know I can't always post stuff that is interesting to everyone but I still feel sad.
On the other hand....I am so blessed for all of you followers I still have, for sticking it out with me and reading my ramblings.  I thank you all very much and hope you know how much I enjoy visiting with you.

yeah I always wonder when I lose them as to why..sometimes..we just don't have the same things in common that we once had or just get bored..I do hope you have a great 4 days off relaxing and enjoying your time.;)

My number went down one recently too. I don't really sweat it anymore. Can't please everyone. Plus, I un-followed some blogs for being either part of the prim community that shunned me or just because it's not the decor style I like anymore. In your case, I'm quite sure it was nothing personal.

Have a great weekend!

Cheers,
Tracy

I hope you enjoy your long weekend. Maybe it will be good to change your routine. I hope you don't miss it too much.
About the followers: I don't know what is going on but everyday-everyday-my number changes. It goes up or down one or two. I have grown immune to the changing. I think with all the blogger screw-ups lately, it's impossible to tell why! All you can do, is follow each new follower back as they come in. And do we really want to spend all our time checking up on our followers? The ones who just sign on for the giveaways, the ones who never comment, the ones we really have nothing in common with? I wonder who thought up this follower thing to drive everyone crazy worrying that no one is reading their stuff or liking them enough to follow? And is there someone out there who just randomly selects a blog to mess with their heads by removing and adding followers? And are we really friends with everyone who does decide to 'follow' our blog? Do we visit them and do we comment to their every post?
I have-supposedly-over 300 followers and I post regularly-Monday, Tuesday, Friday-with some additional posts. I have streamlined my blog. It is very reader friendly. I have the same sweet commenters regularly and that is less than 30 gals. They are steadfast and honest. Where are those other 250 bloggers? I don't know. See what I am getting at? It like a drive to be known that is fundamentally unsuccessful!
Don't worry about the followers thing. Your readers are loyal friends. BTW~I am a follower?!?
Always check you out but do NOT always comment.
I do NOT like word verification.
Comment moderation is acceptable if you have a stalker or if you get alot of spam, but seriously-this isn't like we are sharing illegal information or private things no one else can see. I expect that my comment will never be approved for posting......

I recently lost a follower too. At first it bothered me, but after I thought about it, I figured it wouldn't do me any good to worry about it.

Enjoy your weekend~Becky

Have a nice long weekend. We use to go to the lake every Memorial Day but we haven't for the last few years, sometimes it's nice just to stay home and get stuff done.

Sorry about losing a follower. I figure I'm very boring and don't always post so as I much as I would like to have a wonder blog I don't have the time or energy to put into it. I do get sad when it feels like nobody ever comments but I read a lot more than I comment on too. I was reading Linda's post and sometimes it feels like a lot of hoops to leave a comment, like the letter verification. I removed that from my blog a year ago. Gotta go chase down a 5 yr old.

Hi Tina, losing followers is just part of it I think. I have lots of followers but never that many comments. I follow a lot but don't always comment. Don't let it get to ya.
Have a great week-end!!
Blessings,
Lorna

don't take the loss of a follower who leaves personally...when I want to add a follower, blogger tells me that I follow too many so I sometimes have to unfollow...no hidden agenda just not enough room on blogger for all the followers...

Don't you worry about your followers. I have been gaining one and then loosing one off and on for days. It may just be blogger. I am still not able to post on some blogs. Like Linda said I have a handful of faithful friends who comment regularly and many of the others I never hear from. Hope they visit and enjoy what they read but...if not I am so sorry and they have the right to move along. I enjoy visiting you so I'm not going away. Have a good evening.

I hope you so enjoy the change this holiday weekend and have a great time doing whatever makes you happy even if that means doing absolutely NOTHING!!!:0) I don't sweat the follower count , you can't please them all , and it's just a number it could be for technical reasons I lost one yesterday too , Im just thrilled to have any at all and feel so honored that they read my ramblings . It is better to have 2 followers that love and support you unconditionally than 200 that just want a freebie ! Enjoy your evening ! hugs

I will say that I too have noticed followers decreasing. BUT, with the blogger problems, I think that has something to do with it. I still have trouble commenting, but my followers came back!!
