Antique shopping, orders done..dress fitting..

Monday, oh why do you come so fast.. teehee..  I actually had a productive weekend considering all of the sadness Bre was going through..  She stayed with us Friday night and then Saturday we hit a couple antique shops where I got an old wood and metal sled and an old lacey tablecloth.. I could have bought so much more but I was trying to be good.. Now I just have to figure out how to display my sled..  I have seen some cute ideas in the past with some ice skates and maybe a wreath... Any ideas??  I will take some photos and post them.  Bre got a couple of really cute wood barrels to put outside to plant in..  Then we took her out for lunch..  Bre left to meet some friends who were all getting together.. I spent the rest of the night finishing up some more orders.  Here they are:

Glad I got those done on Saturday so we had Sunday to have fun at Bre's dress fitting.. All of the girls in the wedding were there as well as my friend with her cute little daughter, Saige.  She is going to be Breanna's flower girl.  I was so glad everyone showed up and hoped it would take Bre's mind off of losing her friend if just for a little while.. 

It is the worst feeling to know that you can't just wave your magic wand and make all your child's sadness go away...  The only thing we can do is be there for her...  I try to be strong for her but when she cries, it tears me up inside and my eyes start filling up with water...  In fact, I had to pause writing this for a minute cuz Bre called.. She has been writing what she wants to say at his funeral.. oh boy..  it was hard enough to hear her read it and hear how upset she is on the phone, let alone seeing her reading it at the funeral.. So proud of how strong she is and how hard it is for her to get up there and say something but she is doing it for him...

Now that my face and eyes are probably red from talking to her on the phone and typing this, I better finish this up and get a hold of myself... since I am at work... teehee...

Dress fitting and some sad news....

Well, today started off to be a great day...  It is Friday so it has to be great!!  Got almost to lunch then my daughter called and said that a friend she has known since grade school had passed away.  She is taking it pretty hard and when she is sad... I am sad....  Her fiance is out of town for the weekend for hockey so she is going to stay with us..  I don't want her to be alone.  I had planned on having a whole weekend to get caught up on all my orders but she comes first...so...  now to keep her busy.. haha..  unfortunately she doesn't love prims as much as me or I might talk her into helping me but nope..

There are a couple little antique shops we want to go to and then we have her 1st dress fitting on Sunday...  It will be great for her to have all her gals around her and the excitement of the wedding to keep her mind off of this sad news at least for a while..

Here I am..

Hope your morning and afternoon is going great.  We have had a beautiful couple of days, definitely not our normal winter...  I am sooo lovin it. Makes me ready to go camping already.. teehee

What have I been doing??  Between wedding fun and filling orders, I have been a busy little bee...I have even decided that I won't be doing any craft shows this spring.  I just didn't do as well as hoped last year and just don't have the time to stock up on a bunch of new goodies when I am filling so many orders....  I will miss visiting with all of the other crafters and customers but I just can't justify paying the booth fees and not selling enough to make it worth my while.  So...  I hope I can keep busy enough online to make up for it..

I know it's hard to believe but I have been out of the house and do take time to eat and sleep... a little.. teehee...  One of our friends is in a local play so we went and saw it this past weekend.  Boy that is something I could never do.. I used to get butterflies and feel sick to my tummy just having to do an oral presentation in school.. haha..

Bridal Fair- Silly Booth Photos - New offerings

This weekend we went to the Bridal Fair.  Had never been and boy it ended up being an all day thing but it was fun.  All the vendors are so pricey though at those things.  The photographers and DJ's we had already been looking at were way more reasonable than any at the fair...

You can rent photo booths for events now.  We had never heard of that before.  They said we could try it out w/ some of their props and so we did.  The first one had the basic props hats and glasses and a tiara for the Bride To Be.  We were like, okay, we have to pose, what should we do...  we would just throw something out there in the few seconds before the next photo.

Then we found another photo booth and I think we had almost as much fun looking through their prop box trying to figure out who was going to wear what or hold what as getting our photo taken. 

This one was a little harder to pose or hold composure..  We were all giggling and laughing so hard and the rest of the gals seemed to do okay when time to take the photo but nope... not me...  I just couldn't quit laughing..  I needed something to cover my whole face like Jenn had so you couldn't tell she was laughing the whole time.. One of the props Bre picked was this huge fake ear that she couldn't get to stay on so she had to hold it... in the last photo Jenn goes, here let me whisper in your ear to Bre... oh boy...  that about did me in...and who gave me those grapes.. what the heck do you do with grapes...haha

Anyways, it was a fun day...

I did manage to get a couple things completed this weekend.

Happy Brrrrrr Friday, Christmas goodies I got, More offerings

Hope your Friday is treating you all well...  I just can't believe we still don't have any snow...  We always have snow by now and lots of it...  It did snow a bit on Christmas but didn't stick.  I sure hope this doesn't mean that when it does hit us, it will last into spring and summer...Yikes!!

Well, hubby is feeling better and I think I am getting it...Guess it was time, thought I was lucky but I guess not since everyone else around me has been sick...I am not going to let it get me down.. Does that help if I keep saying it?  teehee...I'll give it a shot.


Well, I wanted to show you a couple things Bre got me for Christmas.  There is an antique mall I just love and I had sent her a photo of this garbage can... I know how silly to want a garbage can but look how darn cute it is.  It does have a lid on it too but I had to take it off to hold Bre's flowers.

and while she was there I guess she saw this cute brush and thought I would like it and boy was she right..  The metal part around is all dirty and rusty.. Love it!!

She also got me an old egg carton and a 3 piece enamelware pan set in yellow w/ black trim.. Oh boy oh boy...  Once I find a home for those I will post photos.

I made these hearts for Bre and Vince with their wedding date since it's finally set. Yahoo...

Happy 2012 - Giveaway winnings and some Valentine's Goodies

Happy 2012 friends!!  I hope your holidays have been wonderful...  We have been busy busy even though we didn't go anywhere but it was just nice being off of work.  We were lucky enough to spend alot of time with family and friends. 

Did you ring in the New Year with a bang??  My hubby has been sick so we decided to stay in for New Years. 

I wanted to share my goodies I won from The Primitive Skate.  I forgot to take a photo of the box, sorry..I couldn't believe how many goodies were in this box, all just for lil o' ME!!  I just kept finding goody after goody in this box.
